Strohmeyers' House is in a beautiful part of Germany, The Harz Mountains are entirely covered with fir trees. The smell is fantastic. And Bockswiese is very high up. The air is pure.

Angela and Jerry Ross are celebrating their birthdays, both on May 11th, and their first meeting 30 years ago with a Hoohaw Celebration. They'll be hosting an evening of readings and performances including readings by Ken Babbs and John Babbs.

Ken Babbs is the co-author of the novel 'Last Go Round' (1994) with Ken Kesey.

Little Tillmann in his pram

Dieter has sent me some photos! Here is little Tillmann in his pram. Tillmann is Dieter and Kristina's grandson. Notice the brake. It's like a bicycle brake. And the sun umbrella - I have never seen anything like it before. It only needs an engine! Haha.

I have found a book written by Hildegard von Waldenburg (Graf) in Amazon - "Ja ja mein kind (That's how it is, my child)". It's the autobiography of a German girl who lived through World War II in Berlin. It makes interesting reading, about things I never knew.
